Privacy Policy
Last updated September 19, 2026
Snusless helps you record and understand nicotine-pouch use. This policy covers the Snusless mobile app, snusless.com and related support services. Boast Holdings LLC, a United States business, operates Snusless and is responsible for the processing described here. Where data-protection law uses that term, it is the controller. Contact support@snusless.com about privacy or your information.
What we collect
Account information. The app can create an anonymous account with a unique identifier. If you use Apple or Google sign-in, we receive the identifiers and account information the provider makes available, which can include an email address and name. Authentication credentials and session information keep you signed in. An anonymous account is not the same as anonymized data.
Your tracking information. This includes products and labeled strengths, pouch counts and timestamps, goals, plans, spending inputs, preferences and progress derived from your entries. Onboarding can ask about nicotine-use history, previous attempts to quit, effects on daily life and symptoms you select. These records may reveal health-related or other sensitive information.
Usage and analytics. We collect app interactions and events, device/platform information and information used to evaluate features and offers. The current app sends some onboarding question-and-answer values and pouch events, including product name and nicotine strength, to PostHog. These events can therefore contain health-related information; they are not limited to anonymous totals.
Purchases. Apple or Google Play and RevenueCat provide purchase, subscription, entitlement and transaction-related information, including subscription identifiers and status. The stores handle payment details. We do not receive your full payment-card details from an in-app purchase.
Diagnostics and requests. Hosting and diagnostic services can process IP addresses, timestamps, device and app versions, errors, logs and technical context to operate and troubleshoot the service. Error context may include information involved in the affected feature. An IP address or device settings can indicate a general location; the current app does not request precise GPS location for pouch tracking.
Support messages. We receive what you send us, including your email address and message. In-app feedback also includes account/subscription identifiers and device, platform and app-version information. Please leave out passwords, full payment-card details and health information that is not needed to explain your request.
How we use it
We use information to provide accounts and synchronization, maintain your records, calculate plans and progress, manage access and subscriptions, operate reminders and widgets, answer support requests, investigate problems, prevent misuse, evaluate and improve features, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Plans, exposure figures and other insights are software calculations based on available inputs. They are not clinical measurements or decisions about your eligibility for healthcare, insurance or employment.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers, or use your nicotine-use information for third-party targeted advertising. Snusless does not run third-party display ads. Service analytics, including the health-related events described above, are distinct from advertising and are still a use of personal information.
Who receives information
We use service providers to operate Snusless. The information involved depends on their function:
- Supabase: authentication, hosted app records and synchronization, including tracking and onboarding information.
- PostHog: app analytics, feature flags and evaluation of product changes and offers. As described above, some events include onboarding answers and pouch details.
- Sentry: crash/error reporting and diagnostic context.
- RevenueCat: purchase verification, subscription status and entitlement management.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, store billing and supported sign-in services. They also process information under their own policies.
- Vercel: website hosting, request processing, the in-app feedback endpoint and cookieless web analytics (page views and referrers, without cookies or cross-site identifiers).
- Email and support services: handling messages and requests. In-app feedback is processed through our website and may be forwarded to our Slack support workspace; failed delivery can leave diagnostic records in hosting logs.
We may disclose information when necessary to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and security, or handle a business transfer, subject to applicable law. A transfer of Snusless does not remove your privacy rights or any notice, consent or other safeguards required for transferring your information.
Where information is stored
The mobile app keeps local records and session information on your device and synchronizes app records with hosted services. Some information is also processed by the analytics, purchase, diagnostic and support services listed above. Your data is not confined to your phone.
Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. The app's PostHog connection uses its European endpoint; that does not mean all Snusless processing takes place in Europe. International transfers are subject to applicable data-protection requirements. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your request.
Website tools, storage and notifications
The website calculators and seven-day worksheet run in your browser. Their input values and worksheet notes are not submitted to Snusless by those tools. Entries are held in the current page and disappear when you refresh or leave. Downloads and printouts are copies that you control. Visiting the website can still generate standard hosting/request information, and following an external link takes you to that provider's service.
The mobile app uses local storage for settings, cached records and sign-in state, and includes the service SDKs described above. The website uses Vercel Web Analytics and PostHog for coarse, cookieless analytics: page views and actions such as store-link clicks, tool use and language switches, sent without cookies or persistent identifiers and never including the values you type into the calculators or the worksheet. It respects the browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. If you dismiss the language suggestion, the website stores that choice in your browser's local storage. The website does not include advertising tags. This does not mean the mobile app has no analytics.
If you allow notifications, the current app schedules reminders and certain offer notifications on your device. You can change notification permissions in your device settings. iPhone widgets use summary information shared locally by the app; their contents may be visible to someone who can see your Home Screen or Lock Screen.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can change supported preferences in the app, control notification permissions through your device, and request help with access, correction, export or deletion by emailing support@snusless.com.
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, appeal a decision on a privacy request, or complain to a data-protection authority. Where relevant, you may have rights to opt out of a sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling; we do not conduct the advertising or data-broker sales described above. We will not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
We may ask for information reasonably needed to locate your records and verify your authority. If you used an anonymous account, the user ID displayed in the app's Settings can help. Do not send your password or a full payment-card number. We handle requests within applicable legal time limits and explain any permitted refusal, extension or retention exception. You can request a review of our response through the same email address.
The current app does not provide a separate in-app analytics opt-out switch. Contact us with an objection or restriction request; an email request is not an automatic device setting, and we will explain the action available for your request. Turning off notifications does not turn off analytics.
Processing grounds and sensitive information
Where applicable law requires a processing basis, ordinary account and service operations relate to providing the service you request; security, troubleshooting and product improvement relate to operating and protecting it; and some records are needed for legal obligations. The relevant basis can depend on the information, purpose and law that applies. Legitimate interests do not override rights or separate legal conditions for sensitive information.
Nicotine-use records and some onboarding answers can qualify as health-related or specially protected data. Where the law requires explicit consent or another specific condition, that requirement applies separately from these terms and this notice. Using the app or reading this policy is not, by itself, explicit consent to every use of health-related information. This policy does not replace a consent process required by law.
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If particular data is needed for a feature, a request to stop processing it may prevent us from continuing that feature.
Consumer health information
Where a consumer-health privacy law applies, the relevant information includes your recorded nicotine use, selected symptoms and other health-related onboarding answers, goals, and progress or inferences generated from those entries. It comes from what you enter and from your use of the app, rather than a purchased health-data list.
We use it for the tracking, planning, progress and related features you request, and for the analytics and support purposes expressly described in this policy. Supabase and PostHog process the categories described above; diagnostic or support providers may also receive health information contained in errors or messages. We do not sell consumer health information to advertisers or data brokers.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, information about sharing, deletion or withdrawal of consent, and appeal a decision, through support@snusless.com. Requirements for separate health-data notices, consent, authorization or processor handling are not waived by this policy.
Deletion and retention
In the app, open Settings → Delete account and follow the confirmation steps. You can also email support@snusless.com, including enough information to locate the account. If the in-app flow fails or you cannot access the app, use email. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
The in-app flow is designed to remove your app records and account. It is not a promise that every record held by a store, analytics service, diagnostic service or support system is instantly erased. We assess requests across the relevant systems and retain information only where an applicable legal or operational reason permits it, such as security, resolving disputes or required transaction records. Backup copies may remain until their retention cycle ends. We do not promise one universal deletion deadline for every system.
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. The relevant period depends on whether your account is active, the record's purpose, an outstanding support or security matter, and applicable legal requirements. An anonymous account is not automatically deleted just because the app is uninstalled. Where information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or de-identified in accordance with applicable requirements.
Deleting the app or your Snusless account does not cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription. Manage billing separately through the store used for your purchase. See Support for the steps.
Younger users
If a parent or guardian believes a child's personal information has been provided without permission required by law, contact support@snusless.com. We will assess the request and take the action required by applicable law, including deletion where appropriate.
Where parental authorization or another safeguard is legally required, it must be satisfied separately; this policy does not serve as that authorization. The app does not provide a dedicated parental-consent workflow. Our Terms explain the need for legal capacity or an appropriate parent/guardian agreement where permitted.
Security, changes and contact
We use access controls and other technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No connected service can guarantee complete security. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
We will update this page and its date when the policy changes, and provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required for a material change.
